BRIEF
The assignment was to create a brand in any industry and tailor a relevant launch campaign, complete with campaign materials. My group decided on inventing a band and plan the first production release, planning for future album releases. As this was a group assignment, everyone contributed to formulating the campaign and producing the relevant materials. I was given the responsibility of filming and editing the first music video alongside the group member in charge of designing the promotional material. This would also serve as the the advertisement to be highlighted on social media. This was the product:
OBJECTIVE & STRATEGY
The Objective was to create a music video that would work as an invitation to the audience to come to the upcoming launch event, rewarding those who do with a fully fledged concert. This video would first be circulated among the target audience in related feeds that best showcased their own self-identity. The logo with the question mark at the end of the video would also be stuck onto the roadside leading towards the location on the invitation, also the venue of the event. This use of guerrilla marketing tactics serves to, on a low budget, stir up interest and entice the audience to look further. A sponsored radio spot would be used in disguise as it would feature the local presenters just mentioning that they noticed these stickers showing up everywhere, bringing more attention to the campaign just before the release of this video.
